NADIA SAMER

Nadia grew up chasing gates ski racing, before shifting to racing ski cross at the international level. She then turned her focus to big mountain competitions before retiring to the backcountry and focusing on filming and media. She is now a backcountry extreme skier and snowmobiler, and occasionally flies off off peaks with her speedwing. In the summer, she can be found in the bike park on flow trails ripping party laps with friends.

WHAT’S YOUR CLAIM TO FAME?

Probably hitting air Jordan twice, the first time at 19, or possibly being that “girl who skis, snowmobiles and speedflies” – there aren’t many of us out there. I’ve done +10 ski or snowmobile movies over the years, and had a large list of podium finishes in ski cross and big mountain extreme competitions as well.

WE CAN USUALLY FIND YOU…

In the backcountry, on the “darkside” or in the bike park

SUMMER OR WINTER?

I love both seasons, but Winter is my favorite of the two.

FAVE WINTER ACTIVITY?

There’s no way I could pick just one! Skiing, snowmobiling, speedflying, pond hockey.

FAVE PLACE IN WHISTLER?

Blackcomb, I was part of  Blackcomb Kids Kamp growing up, so clearly I’m a fan of the darkside. In the backcountry, my favorite place is probably looking south out over the sunset at Mt. Cayley.
